Vintage Wisdom Oracle [Review]

This is the latest deck to come in the mail, which was an early Christmas present....

Cards
Normally, I am not too picky about deck backs that but this one bugs me a bit. I think it is because the propositions of the face seem off. I wish they had used another image (such as the one they used for the guidebook) as one is so lovely.

I like the size of the cards and it's cardstock. I think it will stand up to a lot of shuffling.


The Box
I love it. I think it is striking with its green hue, silver accents, and Victorian gothic feel. Shame that the card edges don't have silver gilding to match - I think that would have been an amazing touch.


Guidebook - 80 pages
Although it is on the smaller side (compared to some other oracle guidebooks) the Vintage Wisdom Oracle guidebook is packed with insights. The card descriptions are detailed without going overboard. I really like its gentle and wise tone. The guidebook also contains five unique spreads which is a big plus for me. These spreads could be used with just about any Tarot or Oracle deck.


Positives
I like the way this deck shuffles and I really like with the card titles that were chosen for the cards. Overall, this deck has a soothing, feminine quality to it. I have a feeling that the more I use it, the more I will warm up to it.


Update
After doing a few readings with this deck, I am really finding this deck to be very friendly and inviting. Very feminine.
